The department uses its own innovative and engaging scheme of work for the delivery of ICT in Years 7, 8 and 9, which is fully compliant with the British National Curriculum framework.

Year 7 & 8 students complete six different units that build on their ICT skills by looking at a variety of software applications: Presenting information, Data Modelling (Spreadsheets), Data handling (Databases) and using Computer Control (Flowcharts), Web Design and Creation and also computer Control whilst also investigating the wider aspects of ICT.

In Year 9, students put their acquired knowledge, skills and understanding of computers to use by working in a wide range of contexts designed to engage, enthuse and emulate real-life situations. They will use the computers to research, plan and manage their own work and create interactive and printed finished products.
